Private Peggy Guggenheim Tour with Entry Ticket and Dorsoduro Walk, 2 Hours (2/2)

Tickets and a guide come in one booking, and the tour does not stop at the museum door. It runs two hours, starts in front of the main entrance, and finishes with a walk through Dorsoduro, the district the palace stands in.

Inside, the guide takes the collection's highlights, with Picasso, Pollock and Dalí among the names. Peggy Guggenheim bought Palazzo Venier dei Leoni in 1949 and lived in it for thirty years, and the history of the house runs through the commentary alongside the paintings. The palace dates from the middle of the eighteenth century and never got past the first of its five planned floors.

Outside, the route follows Dorsoduro's streets, artisan shops and squares. The museum is closed on Tuesdays, so the date needs to work around that. The tour suits visitors who want one guide for both the paintings and the neighborhood, without buying tickets separately.
