Fast Track Entry Ticket to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice
Ratings collected by Tiqets
This is the entry-only option: a fast track ticket to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, with no guide and no extras. The audio guide is a separate purchase at the entrance.
Peggy Guggenheim bought Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, on the Grand Canal, in July 1949 and lived there for thirty years. From 1951 she opened the house to the public on three afternoons a week, and after her death in 1979 the collection became a museum of the Guggenheim Foundation in 1980. The house sits low and wide because only the first of five planned floors was ever built, a project the Venier family started in the middle of the eighteenth century.
On the walls are Picasso, de Chirico, Dalí, Pollock, Kandinsky and Magritte, among others, and the museum also has a sculpture garden. The museum is closed on Tuesdays. Visitors who want the stories behind the pictures will find the guided options in this category a better fit.
