Guggenheim Bilbao Entry Ticket with Self-Paced Multimedia Audio Guide

No guide waits for this one. The ticket comes with a pre-recorded multimedia audio guide, and the visitor sets the pace. The audio covers the museum's history, Frank Gehry's design and the part the museum played in turning Bilbao into a cultural destination.

In the galleries it gives stories and short facts about modern and contemporary works by international artists, and it also covers the exhibitions, the installations and the outdoor sculptures.

The museum gives the audio plenty to cover. Gehry's building opened in October 1997 and has a central Atrium with three levels around it. Sculpture is part of the visit: Jeff Koons' Puppy (1992) and Louise Bourgeois' Maman (1999) stand outside, and Richard Serra's The Matter of Time fills Gallery 104 indoors. The audio guide is accessed digitally, so visitors bring their own headphones.
