A free walking tour of Bilbao's new side. It starts at the main entrance of Teatro Arriaga in Plaza de Arriaga, runs about 1 hour and 45 minutes, and ends back at the Guggenheim Museum.

The Guggenheim comes first, seen from outside: Frank Gehry's building of titanium, limestone and glass. From there the route follows Gran Via de Don Diego Lopez de Haro, passes the Isozaki Atea twin towers (83 m, the tallest residential buildings in the city and the Basque Country) and crosses the Zubizuri footbridge over the Nervion to the Paseo de Uribitarte. La Salve Bridge gives a view over the river delta that suits photos. The second half takes in the Palacio de Ibagane, a Neo-Basque palace that is the official venue of Athletic Club, and Plaza Moyua, where the Chavarri Palace and the Carlton Hotel stand with the Iberdrola Tower behind them.

Groups are limited to 6 people, separate bookings included. A larger party is better served by the private walking tour of Bilbao. The same operator also runs a free walking tour of historic Bilbao for the old town side of the city.
