Private Central Park Pedicab Tour: Carousel, Bethesda Terrace, Deluxe and VIP Routes
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
New York CityThe route opens at the Central Park Carousel, listed as the oldest carousel in the city, and moves on to Wollman Rink, the zoo, Gapstow Bridge, Bethesda Terrace and Bow Bridge. Later stops include the Daniel Webster monument, Strawberry Fields and the Dakota, noted as the first building on the Upper West Side, in 1884.
The ride is private. The guide and driver are the same person, picking passengers up at 59th Street and 6th Avenue and staying with them throughout. At the major attractions the pedicab stops so everyone can step off, walk around and take pictures, and the guide covers the history of a park that is completely man-made.
Three versions share the ride. The Deluxe route adds the Alice in Wonderland statue, Cleopatra's Needle, the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, Turtle Pond, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum as stops. The VIP route adds Times Square. Madison Square Garden, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Rockefeller Center and Trump Tower are listed for both Deluxe and VIP. Museums here are stops on a pedicab ride, with no admission attached.
