4-Hour Van or Mini-Bus Sightseeing Tour of Manhattan with Live Commentary
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
New York CityA professional guide narrates this city tour live from a van or mini-bus, with eight stops along the way where passengers step out. Commentary is available in German, English and Italian, and the tour runs four hours.
The route covers a lot of ground. On the Upper West Side there is a photo stop at Josie Robertson Plaza, outside Lincoln Center, and a drive along Central Park West past the American Museum of Natural History. A stop at the Dakota Building leads on foot into Central Park, to Strawberry Fields and the IMAGINE mosaic for John Lennon. Fifth Avenue runs along the Museum Mile, past the Met, Museo del Barrio, the Frick Collection and the Guggenheim, the Frank Lloyd Wright building that opened in October 1959.
Downtown stops include Madison Square Park for a look at the Flatiron Building, Greenwich Village and SoHo from the road, a walk through Little Italy and Chinatown, a drive past Wall Street, and a stop at Liberty Park at the World Trade Center.
Hotel pickup is not included. Boarding is at the Sheraton New York on Seventh Avenue, so the tour suits visitors staying near Midtown who want a first overview of the city without walking all day.
