Guided Pedicab Tour of Celebrity Homes and Film Locations Around Central Park
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
New York CityThis route works on two layers at once: film and TV locations inside Central Park, and the apartment buildings around it where well-known people have lived. Guides tell the stories at each stop, from Sex and the City at the Boathouse and The Avengers at Bethesda Terrace to Home Alone 2 at the Plaza.
The building stops are named: the Plaza, Essex House, Hampshire House, the San Remo, the Dakota, the Beresford, the Carlyle and several co-ops. Each comes with a list of past and present residents, and the film stops come with the scenes shot there.
A one-hour and a two-hour version are described. The two-hour version adds Cleopatra's Needle, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Upper East Side, Belvedere Castle and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, whose spiral building is one of the sights on the ride. This is a pedicab tour, not a museum visit.
The pace is leisurely, suits all ages and abilities, and leaves room for photos at the locations.
